Board of Directors


Mike Craycraft R.Ph.

Mike Craycraft has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Testicular Cancer Society since the organization's inception.


Mike is a registered pharmacist. He attended Xavier University and then graduated with a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati. He has worked as a pharmacist and in pharmacy management in various settings. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer in June 2006. He is a Mentor Angel with Imerman Angels, a 4th Angel Mentor with The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative at the Cleveland Clinic and a survivor mentor for myCancerConnection at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a Research and Community Outreach Fellow for the Men's Health Initiativeserves as the Testicular Cancer Community Leader at MedHelp and volunteers for Love Hope Strength. As a Huffington Post Blogger he contributes on issues relating to adolescent and young adult oncology.


Dave Finklang, CPA

Dave Finklang has served as a member of the Testicular Cancer Society Board of Directors since 2013.


Dave is a testicular cancer survivor. In hopes of educating many men about the disease, he has shared the story about his treatments, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, through the St. Louis Post Dispatch and many social media outlets. He is a former commercial airline pilot turned Certified Public Accountant. He received his MBA from Webster University and a B.S. in Aviation and Accounting from the University of Central Missouri. Dave celebrated his one year anniversary of beginning treatment by marrying his wife, Lauren; they reside in St. Louis, MO. He also serves as a Mentor Angel with Imerman Angels.

Jason Hogrefe

Jason Hogrefe has served as a member of the Testicular Cancer Society Board of Directors August 2014.


Jason is originally from Downers Grove, Illinois. He played football at Northern Illinois University while majoring in Kinesiology. He went on to earn a masters degree from Northern Illinois in Exercise Science and a second masters in School Leadership from Concordia University, Chicago. He teaches Physical Education at Fremd High School in Palatine, Il where he also coaches football and basketball. 


Jason was first diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in 2007. After an orchiectomy he was initially sucessfully treated with 3 rounds of BEP chemotherapy. On his 3 year check up, doctors found several enlarged abdominal lymph nodes. Consequently, he had a RPLND performed at University of Chicago in 2011. Currently, Jason is healthy, has since had 2 daughters (Maddy 5, Kayla 2) and lives in Inverness, IL with his daughters and wife, Lynn. He serves as a Mentor Angel with Imerman Angels, is an associate with USANA Health Sciences and is the founder of Chicago’s “One Ball Pub Crawl”.


Thad Schoen

Thad Schoen has served as a member of the Testicular Cancer Society Board of Directors since the organization's inception.


Thad graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from Florida Atlantic University. He has 10 years of clinical research experience in the cancer and multiple sclerosis fields, in addition to 20 years experience working in the hematology/oncology pharmaceutical industry. He currently is a Regional Account Manager for Alexion Pharmaceuticals. He was the past Treasurer for the American Lung Association for Broward, Glades and Henry Counties. He has also served as Committee Member of the Professional Fundraising & Project Committee for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of West Palm Beach County and is a current member of the Oncology Nursing Society. He is a two-time testicular cancer survivor, being diagnosed 15 years apart.

Rocco Buccheri
 - Treasurer

Rocco Buccheri serves as Treasurer for the Testicular Cancer Society.


Rocco is born and raised in Connecticut and resides there now with his wife and son.  Rocco has earned a BS in Marketing Management from Central Connecticut State University and a MBA from Albertus Magnus College.  Rocco is a bi-lateral testicular cancer survivor, with diagnoses in 2007 and 2010.  Rocco has worked for The Hartford Insurance Group for 10 years in sales and claims organizations, and has been involved indirectly with a number of charities including The American Cancer Society, Junior Achievement, Movember, and of course the Testicular Cancer Society.  Rocco believes strongly in building awareness for men’s health issues and educating the public on these topics.
